Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your email, used only to sign you in.
• Private registry: vehicles you add (plate, VIN, notes, photos) and the private cases you keep — visible only to you, protected by row-level security.
• Published cases: make/model/DTC code/symptom/fix — anonymized before publishing, with no personal data, licensed under ODbL.

Legal basis

• Account & sign-in: contract — we need your email to give you the service you signed up for (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
• Private vehicle registry & cases: legitimate interest — it is your own working record as a mechanic, visible only to you (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).

How long we keep it

As long as your account is active. If you delete your account, the private registry (vehicles, private cases) disappears immediately. Cases you published stay in the commons, already anonymized — they were never tied to your identity in the public dataset.

Your rights

• Access — ask us what we hold about you.
• Rectification — fix anything that's wrong, any time, from your profile.
• Erasure — delete your account from Settings; the private registry is removed immediately.
• Portability — request a copy of your data via the contact address below; you'll receive it in a common, machine-readable format.
