Probable causes
- Faulty shift fork A position sensor
- damaged
- frayed wiring or poor connectors in the shift fork position circuit
- damaged shift fork or shift linkage
- defective shift solenoid
- outdated TCM software or faulty TCM
- internal transmission assembly fault.
Diagnostic steps
