Probable causes

  • System too lean bank 1
  • dirty/faulty MAF sensor
  • vacuum/air leak after MAF
  • low fuel pressure

  • EVAP purge valve stuck open

Diagnostic steps

  1. Clean MAF sensor.
  2. Check all intake hoses for cracks (between MAF and throttle).
  3. Spray carb cleaner around intake manifold gaskets - idle change = leak.
  4. Test fuel pressure.
  5. Check EVAP purge valve.
  6. Replace MAF if cleaning fails.
