Symptoms
- ABS and/or VSC warning lights illuminated
- stability control system disabled or misbehaving
- often appears after a battery replacement/disconnection or wheel alignment without recalibration.
Probable causes
- Zero point calibration not performed after battery disconnection

Diagnostic steps
- Read codes with a capable scan tool and check the yaw rate sensor calibration status.
- Perform the zero point calibration of the yaw rate sensor using a compatible scan tool, following the factory procedure.
- If the code returns after calibration, inspect the sensor mounting and installation.
- Test the yaw rate sensor and the acceleration sensor; replace if faulty and recalibrate.
- Clear codes and road-test to confirm the VSC system operates normally.
